The pair caught Morriss and in one lap both slipped by to put Morriss back to third, all the time Goodacre was within striking distance.
The pit stops and the sporting handicaps meant the top three ended up coming out 7th 8th and 9th.
Meanwhile Matt Stoupas having started from the back of the grid drive a near faultless race to be in 5 the spot. 16 year old Bailey Hall was showing that his Wakefield rookie status was not going to hinder him with a strong second position. However he stalked on his pits to getaway and had trouble restarting the Porsche sacrificing valuable seconds to the leaders. Meanwhile the race for Marc car honours was fierce with Hall, Goodacre and McLeod battling out for the podium.
